Sports and Activities Update: Remarkable Seasons, State-Bound Excitement, and No School Thursday

Congratulations to the Hill-Murray Girls hockey team for advancing to the Minnesota State Hockey Tournament! We are so proud of our team and excited to cheer them on at the Xcel Energy Center. The first game is on Thursday, February 22nd at 11:00 AM. To allow students, faculty, and staff to attend the game, there will be no school on Thursday, February 22nd. Thursday, February 22nd is an ODD period day and those teachers will communicate with students in class tomorrow regarding any work that will be assigned over the week. We are excited to support our girls’ hockey team at state!

Please note the following important information:

  1. Tickets to the game are general admission and can be purchased by clicking here.
  2. Click here if you would like to sign your student up to ride the fan bus. Sign-up for the bus closes Wednesday, February 21st or when the buses are full. Fan buses will leave Hill-Murray at 10:15 AM and return to Hill-Murray immediately following the game. There will be chaperones on the bus and at the Xcel Energy Center.
  3. Friday, February 23rd will be a regular day of school. If our Hill-Murray girls win on Thursday, they will play on Friday, February 23rd at 6:00 PM in the semi-final game. There will not be fan buses on Friday.
  4. Here are some special Xcel Energy Center rules:

-Bags, purses, and backpacks are not allowed. Clutch, wristlet, and wallets sized 4″ x 6″ x 1.5″ or smaller are allowed and subject to inspection.

Senior All-Night Party: Join the Committee!

Planning for the Senior All-Night Party is underway! Melissa Hauser and Chris Reeves have taken on the role of co-chairs for the event. We have many returning committee chairs and volunteers, but we could use more. You do not need to be a senior parent to join in the planning. This would be a great way for junior parents (or parents of any age student) to join this year to be ready to plan when you have a senior. If you are interested in joining the committee, please join us for our first planning meeting:

When: Wednesday, February 21st, 6:30 PM
Where: The Burrow, 7053 10th Street N, Oakdale
Please reach out to Chris or Melissa with any questions at hmseniorparty@gmail.com.

Enrollment Fees for March and April

Thank you for re-enrolling your student(s) for the upcoming year! We are currently in the process of creating schedules and planning for staff members. Please note that students who are not enrolled will not receive a schedule.

Enrollment fees will be assessed on March 15th and April 15th. The $500 fee will be divided into two invoices of $250 each. Please be aware that this deposit is non-refundable.

Opt-Out Process

We understand that family plans may change. To avoid fees and assist us in planning for the next academic year, kindly review our Opt-Out Process:

If the Business Office receives an email notification for an opt-out prior to June 30th, students will be released from the tuition agreement without incurring any penalties.

Any withdrawal after June 30th until the commencement of the school year will incur a charge of 25% of the tuition agreement.

For withdrawals after the start of the school year, a full semester of tuition will be required, depending on the timing of the student’s departure. For instance, if your student begins the first semester and leaves during that same semester, they will be charged tuition for the entire first semester (equivalent to half of the annual tuition).

The above Opt-Out Process applies regardless of whether the withdrawal is due to expulsion, dismissal, transfer, or any other reason. In any case of withdrawal, the registration fee is non-refundable and will not be prorated.

We appreciate your cooperation and support in ensuring a smooth enrollment process for all families. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Business Office at cerickson@hill-murray.org. We look forward to another successful academic year together.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Friday, March 22nd from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. All conferences will be online utilizing ZOOM. Registration will sent out the week of February 26th and will be open until Wednesday, March 20th.
