Catholic School Leadership In Action

Dear Hill-Murray Community,

Just over one week ago, we welcomed over 500 prospective students and families to Hill-Murray for our annual Fall Open House, making it our largest Open House to date! Over 100 Hill-Murray students, teachers, coaches, and staff gave our guests tours of our campus, invited them to learn about our innovative academic offerings and a wide variety of co-curricular activities, so they could fully experience the unique spirit that distinguishes our Hill-Murray community. The response has been incredible – applications for the 2024-25 school year have been flooding in. Our new rolling enrollment process is in full swing, with students already being welcomed into our Hill-Murray family. Please share this LINK with families who you know would love to become Pioneers.

I’m so proud of the exceptional leadership of our faculty and staff. Our leaders do not merely consider their roles at Hill-Murray to be jobs; rather, they see their work as their true calling and mission. The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis beautifully captured this narrative, featuring our very own Assistant Principal, Aaron Benner. Aaron’s passion for his vocation resonates palpably with both students and the broader community.

Last week, I was honored to join fellow Catholic School Leaders at the Second Annual Catholic Leadership Banquet. It was a blessing and an honor to gather for Mass with Archbishop Bernard Hebda, who celebrated Catholic school leaders of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Of course, we couldn’t resist capturing the moment with a fun selfie!

Thursday, October 26th is an important day for Hill-Murray. It is our annual GIVE DAY. One day a year, we ask our entire community to rally together and consider donating to the Hill-Murray Annual Fund. Every single donation, regardless of size, has a lasting impact. Whether you opt to support tuition assistance, student activities, Pioneer athletics, visual or performing arts, or faith formation, your gift impacts students, ensuring their success both within and beyond the classroom.

While I am excited about all of the amazing developments at Hill-Murray, I am also mindful of the reality of violence and war in our world. I sense it, and I know our community feels it, too. In the midst of these challenging times, I often turn to my faith as a source of hope and peace. I am praying for our world and invite you to do the same.

With heartfelt gratitude and warm regards,

Melissa Dan
