Special Hill-Murray Auction Announcement

Dear Hill-Murray Community,

Some nights don’t just bring a community together; they remind us who we are and why we’re here. This year’s Hill-Murray Auction will be one of those nights.

I am especially excited to share that Lino Rulli ’89 will be joining us as our Master of Ceremonies. A three-time Emmy Award winner and the host of The Catholic Guy on SiriusXM, Lino brings his unmistakable wit and presence. But, something far more meaningful – he knows this place. He sat in these classrooms, walked these halls, and carries with him the same formation that continues to shape our students today. There is an authenticity that cannot be replicated, and I know he will bring both heart and energy to the evening.

We will also have the great privilege of honoring Brother Francis Carr with the President’s Award. Brother Francis has been a quiet, steady force at Hill-Murray for years, forming generations of students through his humility, faith, and an unwavering commitment to our mission.

To honor him is to honor the very heart of this place – and perhaps for the first time, finally give him a moment where he can’t quietly slip out the back without recognition.

This night matters.

Each year, the Auction is more than a celebration. It is a moment when this community shows up for students in a real, tangible way.

It is how we open doors for students who might not otherwise have access to a Hill-Murray Catholic education. It is how we live what we believe: that every student deserves to be known, loved, and respected.

Whether you are a current parent, grandparent, or friend of the school…or an alum who graduated five years ago or fifty. Come home.

Come celebrate. Come stand with us. Come be part of something that truly changes lives.

Because in the end, it really is that simple: a student is either given this opportunity, or they are not, and that depends on us.

Every seat filled, every paddle raised, is a door opened, a life changed, a future set in motion.

And what has always set Hill-Murray apart is this: we are a community who choose the greater good over ourselves. We show up not just for our own children, but for someone else’s child, for a student we may never meet, but whose life will be forever impacted because we said yes.

And, this is what it means to be a Pioneer.

When it matters most, we show up. And we make sure no student is left standing at the door.

I’ll see you there.

Sincerely,
