Junior PSAT Test

Hill-Murray will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT to junior students on Wednesday, October 12 at 8:00 a.m. This national testing date falls on a regular school day.

This PSAT test is a predictor of how a student will do on the SAT and also is the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Competition. This is not a college entrance exam. Over 1.6 million high school students take the PSAT exam each year, and though less than 1% advance in this competition, it is quite an honor.  Hill-Murray has had students advance as a finalist in the past.
If you intend for your student to take the PSAT, please email Rita Albert at ralbert@hill-murray.org by Friday, May 6 so exams can be ordered. If Rita does not hear from you, we will assume your student will not take the PSAT. In addition, you must notify us at the time you commit to taking the PSAT test if your child has an accommodation plan and will need testing accommodations. We will need to submit your information to The College Board and they will determine if accommodations will be granted.

If you have any questions about the PSAT, please call or email your student’s counselor.

Adoration

Hill-Murray parents are invited to participate in the spiritual practice of Adoration, which is held in the Hill-Murray Chapel during the school day typically on the first Friday of each month.

Adoration refers to the time when the Blessed Sacrament (the consecrated host) is placed on the altar and the faithful spend time with Jesus in the Chapel in quiet prayer and reflection.

At Hill-Murray you are invited to attend Mass at 7:15am on days of Adoration and are welcome to sign up for a time to stay in the Chapel in prayer.

Friday, May 6, 2021 sign up is open. CLICK HERE to sign up.
