Wishing Our Hill-Murray Community a Happy Thanksgiving
Dear Hill-Murray Community,
Today marked the final day of class for our students and staff before heading off for Thanksgiving break. We gathered in prayer, led by Fr. John Utecht, to thank God for the many blessings He has given us. I am always so grateful for the gift of being able to celebrate and mark traditions and holidays as a school community. Thank you to all our students and families who participated in the food drive – your contribution matters.
As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated teachers, staff members, and coaches who, every day, help shape our students into the best versions of themselves. Their passion for our students and their commitment to Hill-Murray’s values continue to positively impact generations of Pioneers. Through their guidance, our students learn—little by little—to become inquisitive, resilient, and compassionate leaders grounded in the teachings of Christ.
What inspires incredible teachers? It is the heart of each student. Every one of our students is a gift, and I am deeply grateful to all our current parents for trusting Hill-Murray with the privilege of educating your children. Our students’ passion, smiles, humor, kindness, and even their challenges and struggles call us, as adults, to grow and strive to be better. In many ways, our students form us just as much as we influence them.
Every child deserves access to a Hill-Murray education. At this time of year, I am especially grateful for the individuals and community partners who work alongside us to create more opportunities for students to experience a Hill-Murray education. I look forward to celebrating with many of you at the President’s Dinner on December 7th, where we will honor those who generously support our mission and recognize a few remarkable individuals for their extraordinary commitment. Without your support, we would not be able to achieve all that we do each day—in our classrooms, on the field, in the music room, and on the stage. Don’t forget to get your tickets to Matilda! The show features both middle and high school students.
I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with good food, rest, relaxation, and time spent with loved ones.
Sincerely,
Melissa Dan
Hill-Murray School President
