Diver Ava Johnson Breaking Records this Season

“Great divers make very few waves when they break the surface of the water, but Hill-Murray senior Ava Johnson is sure making a name for herself in the Pioneer record-books.

Johnson shattered her own school diving records recently in both the 6 and 11 dive lists.

‘I love diving because there is no limit to how much you can challenge yourself and improve,” said Johnson. “I was a gymnast when I was younger, so when a friend’s mom said they needed divers at my previous school, I went to watch a practice. After one practice, I said, sure, I’ll give it a try.'”

Eagle Scout Recognition

Congratulations to senior Riley G., who was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in August! In addition to participating in many school activities, Riley has been in the Scouting program since 1st grade. He completed his Eagle Scout service project in 2020, which involved raising $3,400 to purchase, assemble, and ship care packages to Minnesota soldiers stationed in the Horn of Africa. Riley’s dedication to his schoolwork, school activities, faith, family, and scouting are truly impressive. Riley will be presented with his awards in October.

Adoration refers to the time when the Blessed Sacrament (the consecrated host) is placed on the altar and the faithful spend time with Jesus in the Chapel in quiet prayer and reflection.

At Hill-Murray you are invited to attend Mass at 7:20am on days of Adoration and are welcome to sign up for a time to stay in the Chapel in prayer.

Our next day of Adoration is Friday, October 14, 2022. CLICK HERE to sign up.
