H-M Happenings (Feb. 4, 2022)

H-M Theatre Section Champions

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the one-act play, LITTLE WOMEN, for winning the 4AA section championship last night at Spring Lake Park High School! They move on to the Minnesota State High School League State Festival next Thursday, February 10th at St. Kate’s! Our Theatre Department has advanced to State 3 out of the past 4 years. Their only miss was last year when it was not a live performance, but a video submission due to COVID. Truly an impressive feat!

A special congratulations goes out to all the understudies for the show! Due to Covid, each character has an understudy that can step in at any time, including last week’s section prelim where Junior Cade Kaiser went on and helped us advance to finals!

We will be holding a public performance of LITTLE WOMEN. Come watch the understudies perform on Monday, Feb 7 after school and the State-bound cast perform Wednesday, Feb. 9 after school.

If you’d like to attend the performance at State, they perform at the O’Shaughnessy Auditorium at St. Catherine University in St. Paul on Thursday, February 10th at 3:15pm. There are masks and vaccination/testing requirements to attend.
