Placement Test

ALL 9th grade students are required to choose a date for the Math placement exam and also have the option to stay for the Spanish placement exam.  Students can also indicate if they are interested in Honors Science and/or Honors English. A written essay will be required for Honors English.  More details within the RSVP form.

Middle School students have the option to take Math placement exams if they would like to be considered for advanced placement.

Results will be emailed with two weeks of taking the exam(s).

Summer Sports Camps

The 2022 Hill-Murray Summer Sports Camps are now LIVE and available for registration.  This summer we are offering Boys and Girls Soccer camps, Boys and Girls Basketball camps, Boys and Girls Hockey Camps, Volleyball camp, Football camp, Tennis camp (coming soon), and a Strength and Conditioning Camp.

Pioneer Jump Start

Attention in-coming 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students, do you want  to get a jump start on your first year at Hill-Murray? This Study Skills  class will not only teach you how to be a better student but will also get  you familiar and comfortable being a Pioneer before the school year  even starts. The biggest bonus to this course is meeting new friends!  You will learn your way around the building, how to use your locker and  combination, navigate through technology, know how to use the Library  Media Center, use your PIN in the café, and be introduced to H-M staff members. In addition to learning the ropes here, in this 6-day course  we will strive to build skills in all the following areas of reading tasks,  study skills, and study strategies. We will work on the skills necessary  to excel on homework, review, and class preparation. The following will  be areas of focus: Goal Setting Time Management; Listening Location  Skills, Organizational Skills Interpreting Skills, Retention Skills Test Taking; Reading Rate and Skills Study Strategies. This seminar is highly  recommended for students who are conditionally accepted.

Does H-M Provide Transportation and Carpooling?

Yes, we do offer bussing, but there might be some limitations based on where you live. More information to come on carpooling.

Where do we purchase school uniforms?

You can purchase uniforms at Donald’s Uniforms.

Hill-Murray also hosts a used uniform sale during the summer. We will send out more information as the date of that event draws near.

How do I keep up-to-date with all the most important information?

There will be multiple ways we’ll keep you up-to-date with all of the happenings, including our bi-weekly e-newsletter, our social media channels and our parent/student portal. We also encourage you to subscribe to the school calendar. Here’s the link to the school calendar.

There will be a bimonthly new family newsletter that you will receive by email.

How do I find the correct Guidance Counselor?

Our guidance counseling staff is experienced and robust, which means every student gets a great deal of attention. The counselors are assigned to the Upper School and Middle School. The Upper School counselors are assigned by students’ last names. See below.

Where do I find school supply lists?
We want to register for courses. How do we do this?

You need to fill out the course registration forms, which will be available once you’ve been accepted to Hill-Murray.

What about Scholarships and Tuition Assistance?

At Hill-Murray, tuition is supplemented in a variety of ways for 100% of students thanks to the support of our generous community. We welcome all families to apply, and will work with you to create a sensible plan so your child can grow and thrive.

The Scholarship deadline for the 2022-23 school year has passed, however families can still apply for tuition assistance through TADS financial aid application at www.tads.com.
