Community Service

Hill-Murray has a proud tradition of community service. Following Jesus’ example of loving others, we strive to live it in concrete ways. Every year, Hill-Murray students complete over 5,000 service hours extending the love of Christ to the broader world.

As a Hill-Murray student, you’ll be asked to complete two service experiences each year. Opportunities range from helping in a parish, at a school event, serving the elderly, physically challenged, or others in need.

Several service opportunities are available each month via our mobile Service App. This is a great tool for learning about opportunities, signing up for service and reflecting upon service experiences. Opportunities are offered at various times to fit busy schedules.

After each service opportunity you complete as a Hill-Murray student, you’ll be asked to submit a service reflection form electronically. This is a good way to think about the positive impact our service makes in the community.

Hill-Murray presents service awards to students based on the number of service events they complete. Although only two experiences per year are required, many students go above and beyond in their volunteer efforts. Service awards are a way for the school to honor and recognize outstanding service contributions.
