Peer Tutoring

Hill-Murray Peer Tutors 2007-2008

Peer tutoring is an elective course for juniors and seniors.  Peer Tutors receive one non-GPA elective credit.

Peer Tutors meet with fellow students who would like help in any subject area during study hall, lunchtime, or after school. Tutors meet with tutees twice a week to review and reinforce material from their classes. Tutors also work with tutees on organization and time management. Tutors learn the study techniques and in turn share their knowledge with other students. Students may request a Peer Tutor through the P.E.E.R. Center and Mrs. Jamieson, Counseling Services, or teachers.

Students receive information about becoming a Peer Tutor in mid-February during the course registration process.  A student must complete and application and receive approval from the Peer Helping Instructor.
