Student Life Hill-Murray offers a vibrant, opportunity-filled environment—challenging academics, a wide variety of activities, and students who bring a diverse range of ideas and opinions to the community. Plainly stated, to be a student at Hill-Murray is to work hard, learn from others in a positive, supportive educational environment, experience new opportunities to become involved in the life of the school, make new and lasting friendships, and have a lot of fun along the way. We believe in the importance of balance between work, prayer, and fun.
It’s all here: Homecoming activities; service experiences; hallway conversations; Prom and other dances and social opportunities; participation in hockey, football, basketball, volleyball and soccer or 20 other sports, or attending the games; student government; Campus Ministry; peer tutoring; and dozens of other activities that are part of the school fabric.
And to be a Pioneer means to embrace values that are foundational to the Hill-Murray experience. Hill-Murray School strives to provide students with an environment in which they can be ethical, moral and responsible young men and women. Our common faith teaches us that every member of our school is created and endowed with God-given dignity, and is deserving of profound respect.
We are called to community, realizing that we are more than a school. Our Christian values mean that we are responsible for our own behavior and accountable to one another. We are blessed with both rights and responsibilities. We believe that how we act on our beliefs makes a difference in our world.
Student life at Hill-Murray equals excellence, hard work, faith and service, fun, and participation in the school and greater communities. |
