Scrabble Club

Scrabble Club Advisor:  Ms. Monica Thompson (651) 748-2220

Scrabble Club is an individual competition within a four-person format promoting vocabulary and spelling growth as well as dictionary usage.
Any student can participate in Scrabble Club.  There are two leagues for students, one for grades 7-9; and one for grades 10-12.  No previous experience is necessary; you don't have to be a Scrabble expert or have a commanding knowledge of vocabulary.  In fact, the game will help you increase your vocabulary skills.  A little creativity & an interest in words are a player’s most important assets.

Scrabble Club meets twice each month in the afternoons from October - April in room 117.  There are also "fun days" on various Mission Possible days during the school year.  Individual scores are posted for game days.  There are monthly prizes for cumulative high and low scores.  There is an activity fee for participation in the club.
