Hill-Murray School, a Benedictine college-preparatory school, Grades 7-12, has an immediate full-time Theatre Teacher/Director position available.
Widely recognized for its excellence, Hill-Murray’s theatre program has won sixteen Spotlight on Theatre awards in the last three years for its musical productions; Footloose, Aida, and Dracula, the Musical. The Hill-Murray stage is a busy place with five student productions each year—a fall play, holiday show, spring musical, one-act play, and cabaret. Over 200 students are involved in productions over the course of a year, on stage and in technical areas.
The position includes teaching theatre courses at the middle and high school levels including Creative Dramatics, Stagecraft, and Elements of Acting. See our online Course Directory for full course descriptions.
The position also includes a stipend for directing an elite vocal group, The Pioneer Performers, who perform for school and community functions throughout the year.
