Affording Hill-Murray

Hill-Murray School is pleased to offer students approximately $1.34 million for tuition assistance and scholarships. This assistance is in the form of both need-based and merit-based grants and scholarships.

Students and families should apply to Hill-Murray School regardless of limited financial means. Although the school will not be able to fully meet every request for aid, we work diligently to make a Hill-Murray education affordable by providing assistance through tuition assistance and scholarships.

When awarding tuition assistance, the school's tuition assistance committee considers the family's demonstrated need, which is the difference between what the family can reasonably be expected to pay and the cost of tuition. To determine tuition assistance, Hill-Murray school uses guidelines established by the school and TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services).

2017-2018 Tuition

Grades 9-12: $13,495

Grade 8: $11,230

Grade 7: $9,230

Grade 6: $7,230

There is a $500 enrollment fee per student due at the time of enrollment.  A $125 per semester technology fee will be charged to students in grades 9-12 for their MacBook Air laptop computer.  Beginning in 2017-2018, a $25 per semester technology fee will be charged to students in grades 6-8 for a tablet that they will use throughout middle school. Students participating in athletics or other cocurricular activities are required to pay a participation fee.

Tuition covers approximately 90% of the cost of an education at Hill-Murray.  The remainder is covered through fundraisers such as the Annual Fund and the Pioneer Premier Auction.  In this manner, every student is receiving some tuition assistance.

Pioneer Foundation for the Performing Arts

The Pioneer Foundation for the Performing Arts and the Donations for Education Program, both organizations independent of Hill-Murray School, provide programs for volunteers seeking additional opportunities for tuition assistance grants. These programs for both Hill-Murray students and students enrolled at other schools, provide significant funds for families who wish to volunteer their time and talents. It’s easy to learn how your family can take advantage of these programs. See contact information below:
