Message from the Principal
Jan. 30, 2012
As we begin Catholic School Week I would like to thank you
for allowing us to partner with you in the spiritual, academic and social
development of your sons and daughters.
Believing that all students are precious gifts from God, we strive to
fulfill our promise to you to help your student become the wonderful adult they
are meant to be. We are grateful for
your support, your prayers and the time you take to be a part of our school
community. If you are reading this and
haven’t yet made the decision to join the Hill-Murray family, I would encourage
you to consider the acronym we use as part of our mission statement:
CLASS
Christian
Values – every day we strive to live as Christ lived, loving and caring for
others.
Life-long
Learning – when students leave us they are very well-prepared for a world
beyond high school.
Academic
Excellence – with a rigorous curriculum and a caring staff, students reach
new heights daily.
Spiritual Growth – we
challenge students daily to see the world with a critical but informed view.
Social Development – today I challenged
students to get out of their comfort zone and take the time to make someone
around them feel welcomed and respected.
During this week of focus
on Catholic education, the Hill-Murray faculty, staff and administration would
like to thank you for making our school possible. Without you, Hill-Murray wouldn’t exist. We are blessed to be able to watch students
grow; they bring us joy and a profound sense of purpose each day. My challenge to our staff at the beginning of
the school year was based on two questions:
1. Is
it in the best interest of the students?
2. How
can we do it better?
As we continue to search
for new avenues to improve on what we do, we want you to know that the commitment you have made to send your student
to Hill-Murray is worthy of your efforts.
Our commitment back to you is to never let the status quo be “good
enough.’’ We offer you a daily
dedication to assist your sons and daughters in their personal journey through
life. Thank you for all you do. May God continue to bless this wonderful place
and all those connected by its commitment to make sure that each student is
known, respected and loved.
Sincerely,
David Meyer
