Open Houses:
UW-Milwaukee: A list of open houses, tours and preview days is now available in the college file or online at visit.uwm.edu.
Simpson College: Junior Visit Day will be held on Friday, March 30th. Register online at www.simpson.edu or call 800-362-2454 (extension 1624).
South Dakota State University: Juniors, kick off your college search with SDSU Saturday on January 28th. Junior Day is a visit program just for high school juniors and their families to learn about all aspects of college life. It's also a great opportunity to see if SDSU might be the right fit for you. St. Mary's University of Minnesota: The admission staff will hold their annual Admission Reception on Sunday. January 29 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the Hilton Hotel Bloomington West, located at 3900 American Boulevard West, Bloomington. Pre-registration is not required and refreshments will be served. Students will have the opportunity to meet with professors, current students and alumni. Representatives from student life, athletics, performing arts, financial aid and admissions will be available to answer questions as well.

Century College: Hosting its annual open house for prospective students and their families on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the West Campus Gymnasium. Century's $20.00 application fee will be waived for those who apply for admission at the open house. Students will also have the chance to win a $500 scholarship and other prizes. Summer session begins May 21 and fall semester starts August 27. Century faculty and staff members will be on hand to discuss the college's many programs and degrees. Financial aid information will be available and students will be welcome to take a tour of the campus. See the new student center on the first level of West Campus and the award-winning Science/Library building on the East Campus.

University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance: A catalog of summer institutes and workshops is now available online at www.music.umich.edu/youthprograms as well as in the college file.
Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM): Experience three creative and inspiration-filled days where you'll take workshops like Draping the Dress, Concept to Consumer and Creating a Promotional Campaign. If you're curious about the creative worlds of fashion, business, and design, then check out 3 Days of Fashion at fidm.edu/go/summerprogram.
Washington University in St. Louis: Experience Washington University the summer after your sophomore or junior year. The High School Summer Scholars program helps students develop academic skills through specialized seminars giving students a head start toward their college careers. Students enroll in two college courses for credit, transferable to most accredited universities. The other option is the High School Summer Institutes in which students explore an area of interest under the guidance of Washington University instructors. These are 3 week non-credit courses. Students may choose from the Writing Institute, the Pre-Medical Institute, or the Photojournalism Institute. University of Notre Dame: Offering Notre Dame Leadership Seminars this summer. The seminars will consist of three topic areas for students to choose. Students will be able to select all three topics ranking them in order of interest. Examples of the topics include: Identity and Social Integration, Global Issues-A Just Peace, and Cultural and Racial Scientific Discovery. This is an all-expense paid academic program hosted at the University of Notre Dame from July 22-31 and is open to academically talented, civic-minded students nationally and internationally who are current high school juniors. 40 students will be selected for each topic area to come together to engage in intellectual discourse, spiritual examination and purpose building exercises, as they consider what their generation will give to our diverse world. It is the intention of the university to recruit students from all backgrounds with the outcome of having an even representation of students of color from African-American and Latino backgrounds.

Columbia University: Offering summer programs in New York, Barcelona, and the Middle East. The program is divided into two three-week sessions. Students may elect to attend both sessions or just one. Session I will be held from June 25-July 13 and Session II will be from July 17-August 3. Priority application deadline is February 10th.

Bismarck State College: The National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College is offering the first annual Summer Career Academy to youth ages 14-16 on June 19-21. The academy offers participants an exciting opportunity to engage in energy-related lab experiments, tour energy facilities and learn from faculty teaching at a world-class center known for training the industry's workforce.
